It is of the utmost importance for us to provide quality, safe, and compassionate care to our patients. That is why our veterinarians have developed specific surgical and anesthetic protocols. To decrease anesthetic risk, we require all patients undergoing surgery to have a full comprehensive physical exam and pre-anesthetic blood work prior to their procedure. The laboratory panel helps to reduce risk by ruling out underlying health issues, including clotting disorders, liver and kidney abnormalities, and anemia.
While your pet is under anesthesia, they will be monitored consistently by a registered veterinary technician and will receive IV fluids to maintain their blood pressure. Each pet will have a customized anesthetic, recovery, and pain management protocol to keep them as safe and comfortable as possible.
Surgery and Specialist Deposit
To help relieve hospital stress and conserve resources, upon scheduling a routine or specialty surgical procedure, we require a deposit of $200. This deposit is non-refundable and will be credited towards the final balance of the procedure.
We ask clients to meet the following deadlines for cancelling or rescheduling surgeries and specialist visits or appointments:
- Please call more than 48 hours in advance to cancel or reschedule a surgical procedure, specialist appointment, or new client appointment.
- Clients who cancel within 48 hours or do not show up at their scheduled appointment will forfeit their deposit of $200 and can choose to re-schedule their appointment.
- Clients who have forfeited their initial deposit and choose to re-schedule will be required to deposit another $200.
