We wanted to update you on some new hospital protocols we are implementing to help protect the community from further spread of COVID-19. We want you to know the goal of these changes is to help protect our clients and staff while continuing to offer care for our patients. Beginning Wednesday, March 18th, we will no longer be allowing clients to enter the clinic.
We also ask that anyone who is experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms including fever, cough, and or shortness of breath to not come to the clinic; if your pet needs care please make arrangements to have someone else bring your pet in. In the event that you need to euthanize your pet please call to schedule an appointment; this is the only situation we will be allowing clients to enter the building and remain with their pet.
When you arrive at Laurel:
When you arrive for your appointment please pull into the parking lot and call the office. We will be doing a “porch side service”. Let us know you are here, and a staff member will come and retrieve your pet. PLEASE REMAIN IN YOU CAR! We ask that cats be brought in clean and secure carriers We will place our own leashes on your dog to safely bring into the clinic Our staff member will bring your pet into the clinic for the veterinarian to evaluate. Once this evaluation has been done, we will call you to discuss our treatment plan and get authorization for care. Once the patient is ready to leave the office, we will accept payment over the phone and bring your pet back out to your car with the necessary care instructions, prescriptions, and/or food
Additionally, we are happy to refill prescriptions and prescription diets during this time. Again, we ask that you call the clinic when you arrive in the parking lot and we will to deliver your prescriptions and or food to your car.
We THANK YOU for your patience and understanding and will continue to re-evaluate the situation and keep you up to date on any changes that are made to our current care plan.
